Okay, so, I’ve been planning my wedding, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. One of the things I’ve been stressing about is the whole bridesmaid and groomsmen color situation. You know, making sure everyone looks good together without it being too matchy-matchy or totally clashing.
First off, I started by picking a general color palette for the wedding. Not just one color, but like, a few that go well together. I figured this would give me some flexibility. I read somewhere that you should aim for 3-5 colors, so I went with that. I picked two main colors that I really loved, then two more that kind of complemented them, and one neutral color to balance everything out.
Once I had my colors, I started thinking about the wedding party. Some people like to have everyone in the same color, but I wanted a bit more variety. So, I decided to have the bridesmaids in one of the main colors and the groomsmen in another that goes well with it. I thought about having the groomsmen’s ties or vests match the bridesmaids’ dresses, you know, to tie it all together.

- Compared them to see if they really worked together.
This was actually super helpful. Seeing the colors in person made a big difference. I was thinking one shade, but then it looked off, so I switched it up.
It is a little bit stressful because I want everyone to be happy and comfortable in what they’re wearing. I don’t want them to be like, “Ugh, I hate this color.” So, I tried to be flexible. Like, if someone really didn’t like a certain shade, I was open to finding something similar that they’d be okay with.
At the end of the day, I realized that it’s impossible to please everyone 100%. But, I think I found a good balance. The colors all look nice together, and everyone seems pretty happy with the choices. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it to see it all come together!
Honestly I spent many times thinking and changing the color. I also had a discussion with my friends about the colors and they gave me lots of suggestions.
Finally the colors are confirmed, and I feel so happy about that!
