Okay, so, I wanted to do something special for my bridesmaids. I mean, these girls are going through a lot to help me with my big day, right? I started thinking, what could I do to really show them how much I appreciate them? And that’s when I hit upon the idea of making personalized candles.
First off, I went online to look for some ideas and I found a bunch of stuff about personalized gifts and how much people like them. I also saw that you should spend around $75 to $150 per bridesmaid. But hey, I thought, making something myself would be way more meaningful, and maybe even cheaper.
So, I decided to go for it. I gathered all the supplies: wax, wicks, jars, essential oils, and some cute little labels I designed myself. It was a bit of a process, I won’t lie. I had to melt the wax, which was kind of a pain, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn’t too bad. Then I mixed in the essential oils. I chose different scents for each of my friends, based on what I know they like. For example, I made a lavender one for Sarah, because she loves relaxing scents, and a citrus one for Emily, because she’s always so energetic.
Getting Down to Business
After that, I carefully poured the melted wax into the jars, making sure the wicks were standing straight. This part was a little tricky, but I managed. Then I just had to wait for the candles to cool down and harden, which took a few hours. While I was waiting, I printed out the labels I had made and stuck them on the jars. They had each of my bridesmaids’ names on them, along with a little thank you message.

They absolutely loved them! They all said it was such a thoughtful and personal gift, and that they would cherish it forever. And honestly, that’s all I could ask for. It was so worth the effort to see how happy they were. Plus, it was actually kind of fun to make them. It was like a fun little DIY project that ended up being a really special gift. Yes, it might not be as expensive as other gifts, but the thought I put in is priceless.
