Then there’s the tastin’. Can’t have a pretty cake that tastes like dirt. Gotta have somethin’ good inside. Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry – whatever folks like. My niece said they had different flavors in each layer. Fancy, huh? But it makes sense, I guess. Gives everyone somethin’ they like. And don’t forget the frostin’! It gotta be sweet and creamy, not that dry, crumbly stuff. A good frostin’ can make or break a cake, that’s what I say.
Now, about findin’ a cake maker. That’s a whole ‘nother story. My niece said she went to some fancy place in the city. Paid a whole lotta money, too. But if you don’t wanna break the bank, maybe you can find someone local. Someone who bakes cakes for birthdays and such. Just make sure they know what they’re doin’. You don’t want a lopsided cake or somethin’. And get it all figured out ahead of time. Don’t wait until the last minute, or you’ll be stuck with a grocery store cake. Nothin’ wrong with that, mind you, but it ain’t exactly special.
And remember, it’s all about the bride and groom. It’s their day, their cake. So, if they want pink and camo, or blue and polka dots, or whatever crazy thing they come up with, let ‘em have it. It’s their weddin’, their memories. Just make sure it tastes good and doesn’t fall over. That’s the important part, right?
