My daughter’s wedding was coming up, and I was on the hunt for the perfect dress. I knew I wanted something in dusty rose – it’s such a beautiful, elegant color, and it went well with the wedding colors. I started by browsing online, just to get an idea of what was out there. There are so many different styles and silhouettes of dresses, it was a little overwhelming at first!
Start to Search
I looked at lots of online shops, and saved pictures of the dresses I liked. I made a list of the features I wanted – I knew I wanted something with lace, and I definitely wanted a dress that was comfortable to wear all day.
Try to Choose
After I had a good idea of what I was looking for, I decided to go to a few local stores to try on some dresses in person. I took my best friend with me for a second opinion. It was a lot of fun, but also a little tiring, trying on all those dresses!
- The first store had a few nice options, but nothing that really stood out to me.
- The second store had a gorgeous dusty rose dress with beading, but it was a little bit over my budget.
- Finally, the third store I visited had it – the perfect dress.
Found The One
It was a beautiful dusty rose color, with delicate lace detailing. It fit perfectly, and it was so comfortable. My friend agreed that it was the one. I bought it right then and there! After all of my searching, I found the most beautiful dusty rose mother of the bride dress, I was happy to be able to get this dress before the wedding.
I remember someone told me that the mother of the bride is supposed to choose her dress first, and then the mother of the groom can choose hers. I made sure to tell my future in-law about my dress, so she could start looking for something that would coordinate nicely.
It was a bit of a journey, but I was so happy with the dress I chose. It made me feel elegant and beautiful, and I got so many compliments on it at the wedding. All in all, finding the right dress is the most successful thing.
