Oh, types of brides? You know, I seen a whole bunch in my time. Every girl’s different, ain’t they? Some like fancy, some like simple. Just like pickin’ chickens, you got all sorts.
Some girls, they dream about that big princess wedding. You know the kind, big ol’ dress, lots of people, fancy food. They want the whole shebang. Like a barn with all the fixin’s, real done up. Real traditional, you know? Got their ma and pa all happy, everythin’ just so. They planned it since they was little girls, probably with them Barbie dolls.
- Big dress, lots of lace.
- Lots of flowers, everywhere.
- Fancy cake, taller than your head.
Then you got the ones who, well, they don’t want all that fuss. They just wanna get hitched, plain and simple. Maybe a small get-together with family and close friends. No big to-do. Just a nice dress, nothin’ too crazy, some good food, and that’s it. Like plantin’ a garden, they just want the basics, don’t need no fancy fertilizer or nothin’.
Some girls, they’re real modern. They want somethin’ different, somethin’ unique. Maybe they get hitched on a beach, or in a forest. Or maybe they wear a colored dress, not white! Heavens to Betsy! I seen one girl wear a blue dress, pretty as a bluebird. They ain’t afraid to break the rules, these ones.
Then there’s the nervous brides. Bless their hearts, they’re all jittery. Worried about every little thing. Is the cake gonna be okay? Is the dress gonna fit? Are the flowers gonna wilt? They need a lot of reassurance, these ones. Like a skittish calf, you gotta calm ’em down.
And don’t forget the bossy brides! Oh, they know what they want, and they ain’t afraid to say it. Everything’s gotta be perfect, just the way they pictured it. They run the show, no question about it. Like a rooster in the hen house, they make sure everyone knows who’s in charge.
Then you got the laid-back brides. They’re just happy to be gettin’ married. They don’t care about the details, they just wanna have fun. They go with the flow, easy-peasy. Like a lazy river, they just drift along, enjoyin’ the ride.
I seen brides cry tears of joy, and brides laugh so hard they snorted. I seen brides dance like nobody’s watchin’, and brides who were shy as a field mouse. But they all had one thing in common: they were marryin’ the man they loved.
So, you see, there ain’t just one type of bride. They come in all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of personalities. Just like flowers in a garden, they’re all different, but they’re all beautiful in their own way.
At the end of the day, it don’t matter what kind of bride you are. What matters is that you’re happy and you’re startin’ a new chapter in your life. And that’s a blessin’, ain’t it?
